GBA games for Switch: scorned Zelda
It is not official that GBA games become part of Switch online and can therefore be played on the hybrid console. However, a possible leak prompted us to play the dream concert and ask you about the GBA classics that you would like to play again on the Switch. Has won - not surprisingly - Pokémon. But a Zelda part also makes it into the top 5.
these are the top 5 results of our survey
- Pokémon emerald (10%, 1,130 votes)
- Zelda: The Minish Cap (10%, 1,089 votes)
- Pokémon Rubin/Sapphire (9%, 947 votes)
- Golden Sun (7%, 774 votes)
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (5%, 536 votes)
In our survey, Pokémon Smaragd is in place. The other two gene 3 editions Rubin and Sapphire make it to third place. No wonder: The GBA adventures in the Hoenn region thanks to the varied game world and the cool designed gene 3-monsters (Groudon! Kyogre! Rayquaza!) Are still one of the most harmonious Poké editions and of course gathering many fans.
By the way, our Golden Sun ranking of all Pokémon editions can be found here:

It is also nice to see that Zelda: The Minish Cap made it second in second place in our vote and is therefore very popular at least in the Golden Sun community. At that time, Minish Cap could not generate as much attention as the other Zelda handheld branches, even though it was actually a fantastic game. I take a closer look at why the GBA adventure is wrongly spurned in my column.
Here are the remaining results of the survey or all the following places:
- Wario Land 4 (5%, 525 votes)
- Metroid fusion (5%, 503 votes)
- Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga (5%, 491 votes)
- Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (4%, 439 votes)
- Mario Kart: Super Circuit (4%, 432 votes)
- Fire emblem (4%, 416 votes)
- Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (4%, 412 votes)
- Advance Wars (4%, 384 votes)
- Kirby and the miraculous mirror (4%, 381 votes)
- Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (3%, 275 votes)
- Sonic Advance (2%, 235 votes)
- Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (2%, 231 votes)
- F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (2%, 226 votes)
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong (2%, 222 votes)
- Mega Man Zero series (2%, 220 votes)
- Warioware (2%, 209 votes)
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (2%, 189 votes)
- Mario Tennis (2%, 172 votes)
- Mario Golf (1%, 147 votes)

that says the Golden Sun community
Here are a few more comments from the community:
Garfield: "clearly Pokemon, Zelda and Harvest Moon. When I see what I put into these games back then (ruby alone over 400 hours). But with the Virtual Console then noticed that it is much more fun to play the games 100% (such as filling the Pokedex, which I never managed to do as a child). I would also be very happy if the time would come. "
Khaar: "Mother 3 (Sequel to Earthbound) with official translation, that would be something! Nintendo has already brought Mother 1 as "Earthbound Beginning" for the Virtual Console with translation into the West. "
Canti1504: "My vote went to Golden Sun. But with me that would be golden Sun 2, Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission. Zelda Minish Cap and Wario Land 4. These were my absolute favorite games on the GBA".
